Matchable Partners With Avery & Brown: Employee Volunteering

Champions of Regenerative Business, Avery & Brown, partner with Matchable to give their employees skilled, meaningful and impactful volunteering opportunities.

Sometimes things just feel serendipitous - and that’s how it felt when we spoke with Russ, CEO of Avery & Brown. They’re paving the way in being a regenerative business, eg. a business that gives back far more to society and the planet than it takes.

Naturally, employee volunteering is one of the many cogs in that wheel to becoming a regenerative business. It’s been on the radar ever since Russ posted his regenerative business mind-map for 2022 (see below). If you look closely in the social section, you’ll see his note on Matchable: “A volunteering platform which matches your employees with innovative volunteering opportunities”.

Like many, Russ wanted to give his team the opportunity to give back through employee volunteering, but was aware of how much hassle it could be to simply source and arrange - let alone find a project or cause that every employee felt passionately about.

Russ, CEO of Avery & Brown, said:

“As a business which strives daily to move beyond simply being sustainable to being regenerative, giving back to society through employee volunteering is hugely important to us. We were delighted to discover Matchable. I can honestly say it was exactly what we were looking for. Not only does it take the pain and admin away of finding and organising volunteering opportunities, but the whole Avery & Brown team can now volunteer on projects which are more important to them and which have a greater positive impact overall. It’s win-win.”

Sam, Head of Business Development at Matchable, said:

“I was genuinely like a kid in a candy shop when talking with Russ (as he can probably attest to!). Regenerative businesses and businesses like Avery & Brown are the future that we should all model ourselves on. I’d followed Avery & Brown’s journey for a while so when I was speaking with him, I knew I was talking to someone who truly wanted to make a difference and wanted to offer his team volunteering for all the right reasons. I can’t wait to hear about the volunteering that the team get up to”
