Helping Bacardi To Support Local Community Kitchens & Food Banks

We rounded off 2023 in the most rewarding way, by running another successful volunteering day with the generous team at Bacardi’s UK office!

Around 100 employees from the Bacardi team spent the morning either volunteering in person at Nourish Hub, Idia's Community Kitchen, and London's Community Kitchen or packing food donations in the office for Idia's Community Kitchen, an East London grassroots charity that is working against poverty, social isolation and food waste 💜

The morning in the office started at 9.30am with the team bringing along their different donations. We then had an inspiring talk by Penny from Idia’s Community Kitchen, all about about the amazing work they do recycling surplus food donations from local businesses into hot meals (cooked with love!), and a food bank for anyone lacking these essentials.

The team then got to work packing up all the donations, ending up with over 20 boxes delivered to the charity at the end of the morning 🤩
