WHAT
Route Aware is an app that helps people find the safest route to travel on foot, by bike or by car. It does this by taking an innovative approach to crime mapping and location services, showing previous crime hotspots as well as user reported crime, and using this data to map the safest route for you on your journey.
Route Aware was founded by two police detectives, Allamdeep Bhangoo and Jean-Pascal Barbe, passionate about helping people and building an extensive online community to secure a safer future for everyone.
WHO
Route Aware are still in the early days of developing the app, user testing it, developing a business plan, raising funding and figuring out the best way to grow their community and user base.
They are on the Matchable platform looking for an individual to provide commercial insight and help them shape their business plan and route to market over the next 12 months.
This is a great opportunity for an individual to gain experience in a fast moving tech for good startup, experiencing all facets of the startup journey.
WHEN
Flexible depending on availability of the individual. Potentially 1-2 days per week over an agreed period.
