Over the Bloody Moon + Braidr
We Matched Over the Bloody Moon, an organisation that informs, equips, and empowers women through perimenopause, with Braidr Data Scientists James and Paul, to help them identify key audience insights to help them scale and help as many menstruators as possible.
Over The Bloody Moon believe that everyone transitioning through menopause has a right to take charge of their change. When menstruators thrive, communities thrive, which means that the topic of menopause is one that everyone should understand better.
Founded by Lesley Salem after she noticed a lack of education and support during her own menopausal experience, one of the key goals of Over the Bloody Moon is to remove the stigma and muddle out of menopause for both individuals and organisations alike.
In September 2021, Over the Bloody Moon partnered with Always Discreet to run free menopause masterclasses, which increased the number of people in their community. This increase meant that they had access to more data around their target audience and website performance, but their team didn’t have the data expertise to utilise this data in the most impactful way.
We Matched them with James and Paul, the Head of Data Science and a Data Scientist at Braidr, who buddied up to offer their support for OTBM’s fantastic mission to empower people with key information to prepare them for later in life.
You can buddy up on any of the projects on the Matchable platform – just make sure both volunteers are signed up to the project on our platform, and you mention your buddy in your intro message to the impact organisation. Buddying up on our projects is a great way to maximise your volunteering impact whilst also bonding with a work pal, so we’d definitely recommend it – as would James and Paul!
