WE MATCHED Change Ahead, An organisation EMPOWERING HOMELESS AND VULNERABLE PEOPLE WITH SUPPORT SERVICES, WITH Markerstudy associate hr business partner, SHALINI, TO help develop their internal policies.
Change Ahead is a tech for good app that connects vulnerable people to local and online support services, bespoke to their needs. These support services include housing, employment, wellbeing and everyday essentials. By doing so, Change Ahead works to empower anyone experiencing vulnerability, homelessness or even loneliness.
Founded by Sheena Patel and Mohsin Ravjan, one of the key goals of Change Ahead is to raise awareness about the stories of those who have experienced vulnerability, and share the positivity of their journeys to wellness.
As evidenced below, they provide support via a number of pillars in order to offer a well-rounded, comprehensive approach to supporting vulnerable people to access basic needs.
Change Ahead undertake their work in order to find community solutions to alleviate poverty and prevent homelessness. By sharing the stories they come across during this work, they aim to remove the stigma around the issue of homelessness and to educate society in helping others to pursue overall wellbeing.
In order to help Change Ahead scale and support more people, they were looking for volunteers to help with writing their internal policies and procedures, such as their quality assurance policy, recruitment policy and due diligence policy.
We matched them with Shalini, an Associate HR Business Partner at Markerstudy, who is passionate about Change Ahead’s mission to support vulnerable individuals and was looking to use her HR skills in a new way.
