Matchable's 2021 Roundup - Employee Volunteering

Another year has flown by at Matchable and, whilst we’re still moving at full-speed ahead, we wanted to take a look back over everything that our wonderful team, and all the incredible organisations and people that we work with, have achieved in 2021.

WE MADE MATCHES (lots of them!)

223 impact organisations

Over 400 matches

£1.1 million in value

We delivered over £1.1 million worth of value to 223 amazing social enterprises, charities and impact startups, through over 400 matches.

That’s nearly double the value we provided in 2021, to 4 times the amount of impact organisations, through 4 times as many matches.

Since Matchable began, we have provided nearly £2million worth of value to innovative organisations at the forefront of social and environmental change.

If you want to read more about our matches, you’ll find them in our case studies page.

What else did 2021 include for the Matchable team?

WE GREW INTERNALLY…

Over the course of 2021, we grew from a full-time team of 5 to a full-time team of 10, with growth in every single individual team. We’ve created new teams for Operations and Tech, and can’t wait to keep growing in 2022.

You can meet the current team here, and keep an eye our current vacancies to join!

…and externally

We’ve grown our client base to over 40 companies, making the Matchable platform available to over 6,000 employees world wide (and over 10,200 from Jan 2022!), meaning we’ve grown by 300% this year.

We’ve forged partnerships with companies ranging from large, established corporates like Dentsu International and Deutsche Bank, to exciting scale-ups like Ella’s Kitchen, Spoke and Capital on Tap.

We launched

An undoubtable highlight of our 2021 was launching the new Matchable platform, making our matching process simpler, faster and more efficient. Now all of our volunteers can view, shortlist and connect to hundreds of projects within 60 seconds; with projects automatically suggested to them based on their skill-sets, time-availability and interests.

In fact, our fastest match time to date (from a person signing up, choosing a project and being accepted onto that project by the impact organisation) is under 20 minutes!

we were nominated

This year, we received our fair share of awards and nominations - as did our incredible founder, Foong.

To cite a few, we were named in the Top 9 Tech for Goods to watch by Beauhurst, the Top 5% ‘Best for the World’ B-Corps for Governance, named in the Top 100 companies to escape to by Escape the City, and won MSDUK’s Social Innovation award. For the second year running, we’re also a SheEO semi-finalist!

Foong was named as one of the 33 inspirational change and transformation leaders of 2021 by MAD (Making a Difference), as well as a Computer Weekly Rising Star and one of the Top 100 Asian stars in UK tech.
