Hub of Hope + Matchable members
WE MATCHED MENTAL HEALTH RESOURCE DATABASE THE HUB OF HOPE WITH INDIVIDUAL MATCHABLE MEMBERS TO WORK ON UPDATING THEIR DATABASE OF SUPPORT RESOURCES.
The Hub of Hope is a multi-award winning mental health database, available online and as a free downloadable app. It was developed by Chasing the Stigma, a national mental health charity looking to change the narrative around mental illness by normalising and humanising it.
The database is the UK’s largest and most comprehensive, and was built entirely through public donations and volunteer participation. It makes help simply a click away by allowing users to find the closest local organisation that can support them with mental health advice when they need it the most. It is used by individuals and organisations and institutions such as the Samaritans, Mind, Papyrus, NHS Trusts, Emergency Services, Prison Services, Schools, colleges and universities.
The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic saw the Hub of Hope experiencing increased demand as people sought local support for their mental health concerns. They were looking to launch an updated version of the app, together with the NHS, to provide specific, easily accessible advice to those who needed it as a result of Covid-19. This would require transferring data from the old system, as well as vetting and onboarding mental health support organisations who were new to the platform.
We matched the Hub of Hope with some of our corporate volunteers from magic circle law firm, Linklaters, as well as individual Matchable members who were passionate about mental health and wellbeing to work together on preparing the updated database.
This resulted in the data being transferred and a new app being launched within a fortnight, instead of within months!
