Umberto Giannini Launches With Matchable

Matchable are excited to announce that we have partnered with award-winning cruelty-free hair care brand and fellow B Corp Umberto Giannini!

Umberto Giannini are reinventing the haircare world with their innovative, 100% vegan and cruelty-free products that celebrate real women! As a certified B Corporation, their impact in the world as a business, and in particular their sustainability is at the heart of every decision they make.

The Umberto Giannini team approached Matchable with a passion for giving back, but they wanted an employee volunteering solution that was accessible to everyone in their team, and that fitted around their team’s busy schedules.

Claire Shread, Co-Founder at Umberto Giannini, commented that":

A quote from UG Co-founder Claire about their partnership with Matchable volunteering.

Not everyone is able to get out of the office or out of the house to attend the more traditional, in-person corporate volunteering days, and there are extra travel costs involved with this appraoch.

Instead, we’re offering employees at Umberto Giannini the chance to split their volunteering days into projects as short as 30 minutes. Meaning they can give back when they have the time, and from the comfort of their desk, while still allowing for volunteering as a group with their colleagues if preferred.

The leadership team at Umberto Giannini were also keen to find a partner that could encourage more of their team to engage with their generous 3 days of paid volunteering time for all employees, which had previously had low uptake.

Misperi, Partnerships Manager here at Matchable, said:

“We’re already off to an an exciting start with the Umberto Giannini team! We had 100% of the team signup during our launch event, and we’re already seeing employees starting to match with nonprofits on the platform that align to their skill sets and interests”

We’re excited to see the impact the Umberto Giannini team have for nonprofits in their community and which sustainable development goals they will contribute to first!
